  • (ACEND) Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics Approved Registered Dietitian Schools

    Following is a listing of programs that have been approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). These programs all lead to eligibility to take the Commission on Dietetic Registration’s (CDR) Registered Dietician Nutritionist (RDN) examination. 

    You will find programs of the following types below:

    • Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CP)- This program may be offered at the undergraduate or graduate level, and includes coursework plus at least 1000 hours of supervised practice.
    • Didactic Programs in Dietetics (DPD)- This program may be offered at the undergraduate or graduate level, and includes coursework only. A Dietetic Internship (DI) must be taken after completion of a DPD. 
    • Future Graduate Program (FG)-This program is offered at the graduate level only. It includes coursework and at least 1000 hours of supervised practice.
